Playhouse Rules – Keep It Simple & Respectful

  1. Be Excellent to Each Other Treat folks like you'd want to be treated in your own garage/lab. No personal attacks, name-calling, harassment, or toxicity. Disagreements? Debate the tech, not the person.
  2. Stay (Mostly) On-Topic Threads belong in the right category:
    • Video-specific talk → Video Discussions
    • Builds, NAS, Proxmox, apps, networking → Homelab Central
    • Solar, batteries, power efficiency, off-grid ideas → Solar Shack & Power Play (or whatever fun name you pick)
    • Random life/memes → The Playhouse Lounge Mods may move threads if needed—no big deal.
  3. No Spam, Self-Promo Overload, or Affiliate Dumping Sharing your own related project or video is fine (especially if it ties to a discussion), but don't flood with links or ads. One signature link is cool; constant promo posts aren't.
  4. Keep It (Relatively) Clean Swearing is okay in context (we're adults here), but no extreme slurs, hate speech, or NSFW content outside appropriate threads. If it's borderline, use spoiler tags or ask first.
  5. No Illegal / Dangerous Advice Discussions about homelab tech, solar wiring, etc., are great—but nothing that promotes illegal activities, hacking without consent, or unsafe electrical/DIY practices that could hurt people/property. Common-sense safety first.
  6. Search Before Posting (and Use Good Titles) Check if your question's already been asked. Clear titles help everyone: "Proxmox Cluster on Old R710 – Power Draw Issues?" beats "Help!!!".
  7. Respect Privacy & No Doxxing Don't share personal info about others (or yourself if you're not comfy). No posting private convos/screenshots without permission.
  8. Mods Have Final Say These rules are guidelines. If something feels off, mods (me + any helpers) will step in. Warnings first, then temp bans if needed. Appeals? DM me.

Violations? We'll usually warn first—unless it's blatant spam/hate/illegal stuff.

Thanks for reading—now go post that battlestation pic or ask about your next solar UPS setup!

See you around the Playhouse. ?
